Portable Long Service Leave & the Statutory Interest Amnesty – What Employers Need to Know
Does your business undertake construction-related work in Victoria? If so, you may be covered by the Construction Industry Long Service Leave Act 1997 (VIC), even if you’re not a “traditional” construction company.
Many employers don’t realise that industries such as plumbing, electrical, flooring, landscaping, shopfitting, and civil works fall under the scheme. Contractors, apprentices and even some subcontractors may also be entitled to portable long service leave.
Failing to comply can result in penalties, fines, or prosecution.
Exclusive Statutory Interest Amnesty for RJS Clients
R J Sanderson & Associates, in partnership with LeavePlus, has secured a Statutory Interest Amnesty for eligible clients. This one-time offer waives penalty interest on unpaid charges, but only if you act before 30 June 2026.
